Year 5 and 6 girls from class 3 and 4 had a great time at the Team Durham Futsal Tournament for Girls at Maiden Castle. They enjoyed learning dribbling skills and a team building workshop....but their favourite part was playing Futsal. It was great fun and we just missed out winning a trophy coming in second place! Well done girls!
Children from Class 3 and 4 enjoyed their STEM and Minecraft festivals this week. Learning lots of new skills and showcasing the skills they already had. Which was your favourite bit?
On Wednesday we took part in the mini Olympics at Maiden Castle. We enjoyed judo, boxing, volleyball, American football, street dancing and cheerleading. As part of our science topic of evolution and adaptation we have been looking at fossils and how they are formed. We then made our own 'fossils' using leaves we foraged in the school grounds and some quick setting plaster. |
